មីងរបស់ខ្ញុំបានសួរជនកំណាចនោះថាតើអ្នកណាប្រាប់គាត់ (ជនកំណាច) ថាខ្ញុំ (ជនរងគ្រោះ) បានធ្វើឲ្យបាក់ជើងកូនមាន់មួយនេះ។ជនកំណាចនោះបានឆ្លើយថាគឺកូនស្រីរបស់មីងខ្ញុំ។ មីងរបស់ខ្ញុំបានស្តីបន្ទោសកូនស្រីរបស់គាត់ហើយក៏បានស្តីបន្ទោសឪពុកក្មេកកំណាចនោះផងដែរ។ 

កាលណោះខ្ញុំទើបតែមានអាយុ១០ឆ្នាំទេ។ខ្ញុំបានទទួលរងគ្រោះនូវទារុណកម្មយ៉ាងព្រៃផ្សៃបែបនេះទៅវិញ។ គ្មានទាល់តែសោះ យុត្តិធម៌សម្រាប់ខ្ញុំ!

A Chick Caused Torture

            A  chick  caused  me  to  get  tortured  by  a  wicked  man.  He  was  my  aunt’s  father-in-law.  In  an  evening,  when  I  arrived  home  from  school,  my  aunt’s  father-in-law  quietly  walked  to  me  and  asked  angrily  why  I  broke  his  chick’s  leg.  I  politely  replied  that  I  did  not  know  anything,  and  I did  not  break  the  chick’s  leg.  He not  only  listened  to  me  but  also  slapped  my  face,  and  grabbed  my  head  and  pulled  me  towards  a  big  guava  tree,  where  there  were  many  big  red  ants.  He  tied  my  hands  with  a  rope  attached  with  the  guava  tree,  then  he  beat  me  with  a  hard  long  stick.  At  that  time,  my  aunt  arrived  home  late  from  farm.  She  was  shocked  by  seeing  me  get  tortured  like  this.  She  untied  me  and  applied  ointment  over  my  bloody  back  and  hands.  There  were  bloody  scars  on  my  back  because  of  the  beating.  Later  on,  the  wicked  man’s  wife  told  him  that  the  chick  got  bitten  by  a  dog  many  days  ago;  however,  the  chick  could  manage  to  escape  from  the  dog,  then  she  found  out  that  the  chick’s  leg  broke.  To  make  sure  about  this  matter,  my  aunt  asked  her  father-in-law  who  told  him  that  I  broke  the  chick’s  leg.  He said  that  it  was  one  of  her  daughters.  My  aunt  blamed  her  daughter  and scolded  angrily  that  wicked  man.  I  was  only  ten  years  old,  and  I  terribly  suffered  from  such  torture.  It  was  really  unfair  to  me.
